Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is a smartphone that is first bought for its appearance. Because it is a modern, elegant, and also beautiful smartphone in the new two-tone colors. Closed is a nifty and sophisticated product, while open is a “classic” smartphone, but definitely with fine materials and a very clear design.

The smartphone is made of aluminum and the housing is made of Gorilla Glass Victus, but we have a weight of only 183 grams and although it is significantly thicker than the average (17 mm) when closed, it is still more comfortable than a classic smartphone, in your pocket and still more in purses, handbags or shoulder bags of various kinds.

The frosted glass gives it a remarkable sense of sophistication – it’s easy to get lost in it by slipping through your fingers as a hobby.

Also, the engineering work inside was a competent comment – the smartphone is IPX8. This water tightness was made possible by the impregnation of the inner parts. There is also the small inner brush that presses any dirt into the zipper. The hinge has been reinforced and it is now possible to hold the smartphone open at several angles. (almost no risk of tipping over).

Hardware:

The Z Flip 3 is once again a high-end smartphone. We have a 2.84 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, an Adreno 660 GPU, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 or 256 GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage. Unfortunately, there is also no slot available here to expand the memory, but the removable slot allows two Nano Sims to be accommodated. There is still the option of using the smartphone with an eSIM in dual SIM mode.

Excellent connectivity:

5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. Unfortunately, there is no video output, but there is still stereo sound, which is still improved and unexpectedly good for a smartphone of this size. The fingerprint reader on the right is built into the power button and works perfectly.

Camera:

Too bad the absurd decision to only allow square photos in this mode – this allows you to have a clearer preview of what you are going to take. the viewfinder, but given the arm’s length, it would also have been nice to crop what was being shown in the viewfinder and show black stripes just to take rectangular photos.

All cameras can support 4K Record videos at 60 frames per second and the results are better than ever. However, in order to have really stable video, one has to lower the frame rate or the resolution. The other smartphones from Samsung certainly do better here.

Display:

the internal display is 6.7 inches diagonal and has a FullHD + resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels). It is called Dynamic AMOLED 2X because it now has a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
