- 1918 – कुर्त वॉल्डहाइम – एक ऑस्ट्रेलियन राजनेता और राजनयिक थे। वॉल्डहाइम सयुक्त राष्ट्र के चोथे महासचिव भी थे। वे द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान जासूस ऑफीसर के रूप में भी सेवाएँ दी।
- 1932 – यू. आर. अनंतमूर्ति – ‘ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित कन्नड़ भाषा के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार, रचनाकार, आलोचक और शिक्षाविद थे।
- 1934 – पाकिस्तान के पूर्व महान बल्लेबाज हनीफ मोहम्मद का गुजरात में जन्म हुआ। उन्होंने 55 टेस्ट मैच में 12 शतकों के साथ 3915 रन बनाए।
- 1963 – बॉलीवुड अभिनेता और पूर्व सांसद गोविंदा (अरुण आहुजा) का जन्म हुआ।
- 1974 – संजीव चतुर्वेदी – वर्ष 2002 बैंच के वन सेवा अधिकारी और 2015 में ‘रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार’ प्राप्तकर्ता से सम्मानित व्यक्ति है।
- 1989 – तमन्ना भाटिया – भारतीय फ़िल्म अभिनेत्री।
